Christian Dammert is the Associate General Manager at the Hilton Hotel Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Previously he was the Corporate Director of Operations for Don Shula Management Company. He headed up the Shula's corporate training team, currently they have more than twenty four restaurants in US, and one in Panama.
He believes that the key of success is to build long-term relationships with his customers, vendors and employees. He has a true passion for people, and enjoys having an opportunity to positively impact others. He loves to see people who visit Shula's leaving excited not only for the food, but also for getting a unique and personalized experience. He likes to interact and to get to know his customers.
Christian organizes has developed different events for properties such as cigar dinners, winemaker's dinner, wine tastings, etc. All the events are unique, as he usually includes sport celebrities and like his events to be fun and interactive, where everybody can get to know each other.
Last year he started the Wine School at Shula's where regular customers get an opportunity to learn about wines, from etiquette to ordering and tasting wine. .... "customers tell me that they do not feel comfortable when the go out to dinner with other business people, and they have to order the wine, so we started the school last year has been a success, it is always sold out."
Christian passion for wine started when he was young and he would enjoy a glass of wine served at dinner. "....it is common in South America or Europe to enjoy a glass of wine at dinner with the family", he says. He also enjoyed visiting wineries with his father and tasting wine from the barrels. Now, at Shula's he oversees the wine program and designs the wine list. He feels that a great wine list must go together with a solid training program. He is a true believer in training, and he enjoys designing and implementing training programs, which he feels are fundamental for all types of organizations.
